Senior Audit Manager

Overview
Jacobson Jarvis & Co is seeking a Senior Audit Manager to join our leadership team. In this role you will take part in firm-wide decision-making, practice development, and the forefront of client services within a nontraditional, flexible, and challenging environment.
Responsibilities
- Client Relationships – Develop and maintain productive relationships with client management throughout the year.
- Engagement Coordination – Plan and schedule all phases of engagements (staffing, locations, logistics) in collaboration with senior managers or partners.
- Internal Controls – Study, document, and evaluate clients’ internal control systems.
- Workpapers & Standards – Prepare/evaluate workpapers to ensure audits adhere to GAAS.
- Financial Statements – Prepare and review financial statements and management letters; present findings to clients, audit/finance committees, and boards.
- Delegation & Supervision – Assign work based on staff capabilities and provide guidance, feedback, and timely performance reviews.
- Industry Expertise – Stay current on nonprofit industry trends and emerging technical developments.
- Training & Development – Support staff training, share knowledge, and foster continual skill development.
- Technology – Leverage technology to learn, share knowledge, and improve efficiency.
Requirements
- Licensed CPA with 6+ years of audit experience (public-accounting background preferred).
- Demonstrated interest or background in not-for-profit clients.
- Strong organizational, client-service, and leadership skills.
- Integrity and professionalism.
- Dedication to teamwork and mentorship.
- Advanced written and verbal communication abilities.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $130,000 – $200,000 (DOE & location).
